Our Gasparilla race t-shirts have been to Nicaragua every year, worn by our missionaries and left behind to clothe the Nicaraguan people. (Click the image above to enlarge it.)

It was a chilly, drizzly Saturday morning at this year's Gasparilla 5K and 15K runs. But not enough to deter a bunch of Hyde Park United Methodist participants, who were warmed by the spirit and the chance to join thousands of other runners who all ran, walked, rolled, and cart-wheeled their way around the corner of Platt and Magnolia. It was like a rolling river of excitement, as runners poured by to the energizing sound of praise music and our church cheering section.
Thanks to Bernie for leading the charge of Running To Make God's Love Real, to Bill Howard for once again getting everyone handsomely wardrobed (in our can't-miss orange t-shirts), to Dave Sippel for providing the music, as well as Linda Beavers, Bruce Johnson, and Ken Cowles for providing the slideshow pictures you're about to see (Click the "full" button at the bottom of the slideshow to view it full screen.) All the blurry pics in the slideshow were taken by yours truly. Hey, YOU try to get sharp pictures when you have a torrent of joggers coming right at you. ;-)

Great job John and thank you!
