Commenting 101
Want to make a comment but not sure how?
Find a post you'd like to comment on (posts are what they call the short articles in the blogging world). Just below the post, you will see a link called "Comments." Click on it.
In order to post a comment, the main things you need to do are:
- Type in your comments
- Enter your name (first or first and last name, your choice)
- Enter your email address (this is a security measure, you won't be emailed nor will your email address be published)
- It also asks for your Web Site URL, but you can ignore that
(See snapshot at the bottom of this column.)
When you're done writing your masterpiece (just kidding, feel free to be brief and conversational), click the "post" button at the bottom of the page. You'll be taken to one more page, where you'll be asked to type in a short series of letters and/or numbers, referred to as a CAPTHCA image. This extra layer of security is to keep spammers from posting things to the site.
That's it, you're a published! Get ready for the talk show circuit! Once you get the hang of it, you'll find the process is very easy.
How Will You Know When Your Comment Has Posted?
At this time, all comments are moderated -- which means that your comment will be reviewed before being posted, so don't expect to see it right away.
If your comment is appropriate and suited for the blog, it will be posted as soon as possible. (Learn more about commenting by reading our Terms of Use.) You can check back at a later time to see if your comment was posted and see if anyone else joined in the conversation, because you may want to ...
Add More Comments To The Same Post
As many as you like! In fact, as other bloggers state their case, feel free to add to the comment list. You'll have a conversation going before you know it.
